An Autumnal Wedding Feast

Wow your guests with an opulent tablescape of sweet treats and fall flowers

· She Styles,Styled Shoot,Wedding,Inspiration

For our recent Autumn collaborative shoot we wanted to showcase our love for a beautiful tablescape and Aimee had so many delicious ideas for sweet treats that we could incorporate into our design.

The setting was a sheltered corner of a field, with the most beautiful view over towards Slieau Whallian. We constructed a pallet table which was then covered with hand died cotton gauze fabric in shades of plum, grey and navy blue.

Lanterns and pumpkins lined the entrance to this magical area and we hung macrame from the tree boughs.

Aimee’s beautiful wedding cake was suspended from the tree bough and for this design she took her inspiration from the farm surroundings. The bottom tier is a pale bark effect with gilted coppery gold edging, a concrete wall effect tier sits atop that and a macramé rope inspired top tier. A wedding cake wouldn't be without a little sparkle with a shimmering tier behind the stunning copper hoop with pretty lisianthus flowers and eucalyptus leaves.

Also on the table were perfectly glistening caramel toffee apples with mixed peel for an unexpected add of zest.

Crunchy nutty florentines with the finest dark chocolate, surrounded by ginger, fresh flowers and pomegranates added to the luxurious feast.

Divine crunchy yet chewy melt in the mouth meringue kisses were nestled amongst fresh figs and gilded mini pumpkins

The richest dark fruit cake smothered in a fruity apricot glaze and topped with more zesty mixed peel, surrounded by figs and achingly moreish sweet and chewy handmade honeycomb.

Gold dusted, decadently rich chocolate brownies and light and fruity raspberry macarons will tempt anyone's tastebuds!

Emma designed beautiful menus and place names on plum coloured card with glistening gold calligraphy. The place names were tied to pears with silk ribbon which sat on each setting among Autumn leaves and conkers.

We had so much fun with this table - I think our philosophy for this design was definitely 'more is more'! We filled every available space with fruit, flowers and cake and the end result was decadent, beautiful and most definitely mouth watering!
